12-4-2003 - Important Server Notice: "Shadow"

The server names for North America were released today. There are several to choose from, however, one is named "Shadow". Thanks to Greymore and Roak for pointing this out. Lets all create characters on the Shadow Server.

Release Date:

Horizons is scheduled to release on December 9, 2003. Some Shadows Edge members have pre-ordered the game and plan on playing Horizons until the release of World of Warcraft.

As soon as Shadows Edge members begin to play, we will post the server we are playing on and start providing content and support for the game. In the mean time, please add your comments and ask your questions in our Horizons Forum.

There are several web sites dedicated to the game and those that have value are listed in our table of content section.

Health The amount of damage that can be taken before death. Your hitpoints. Once this number gets to zero you are dead and will receive a death point that is supposed to reduce your health. Hit Points
Strength Physical force and effectiveness. Increases damage with physical attacks and improves physically demanding craft skills. Effects how much damage you do with melee weapons. For gathering, it determines how many resources are gathered in each attempt. Melee Damage
Dexterity Physical quickness and coordination. Improves chance to hit with and avoid physical attacks and improves physically intricate craft skills. Your armor rating also protects you against physical damage. Chance to hit and dodge
Power Mental force and effectiveness. Increases damage and duration of magic and improves mentally demanding craft skills. Determines how effective your spells are. For damage spells, the higher your power the more damage you do. For heals, the more you heal for. Magic Damage, Heal Power
Focus Mental quickness and coordination. Improves chance to hit with and avoid magical attacks and improves mentally complex craft skills. Used to penetrate your foe's magic resistance. The higher your focus the more likely your spells will hit. Certain spells, like heals and beneficial spells don't seem to be affected by focus. Magic Damage and Avoid Magic
