Character History and PersonalityTorbin spent his early childhood in a small town on the outskirts of the northern kingdom of Lordaeron. As inferred by his last name, Stormhammer, his father was a blacksmith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing “battle” with his brothers and sisters.
One evening while Torbin was sleeping, his mother, Laurana, grabbed him out of bed and told him to be very quiet. Though groggy, Torbin did as his mother asked. She hid him underneath the floorboards and told him, “Don’t make a sound, or come out for any reason, promise me.” Torbin gave his word that he would do as he was told. Just then he heard one of his sisters screaming and could hear what sounded like the muffled sounds of Orcs. He could see very little through the cracks in the floorboard, but he saw his dad valiantly fighting. It was to dark for him to tell the enemy with which his father fought, but along with the Orcish grunts he could smell the stench and decay of Undead hosts. When Torbin saw his father fall he closed his eyes as tight as he could and plugged his ears; trying to shut out everything. He wanted to help, but he had promised his mom that he would stay where he was and not make a sound.
Torbin stayed under the floorboards for two days before coming out to find his mother and father slaughtered, his brothers and sisters nowhere to be found. Torbin thought to himself, “Were they taken captive to fight in the Horde legions, to be slaves, or even worse?” At that moment Torbin vowed never to cower in a corner while battle was raging around him, but he would fight to victory or death.
Torbin still being young was raised in a monastery for the rest of his childhood. He liked the church, and the art healing, but he couldn’t get rid of the inner turmoil and rage. He wanted to be a warrior and crush the Horde. With his religious background, and desire to fight for vengeance, he felt there was only one option; became a Paladin...

Gaming History
The only MMO’s I have played have been Asheron’s call and Asheron’s call 2 (and I like playing them a little to much). I have played many other games including all of the games published by Blizzard. The first RPG I played for the computer was Pool of Radiance back in the day, and have been playing them ever since. I have played pen and paper RPG’s, but not hardcore because there were not many people into it where I grew up. So as you can see I have a lot of experience with RPG’s and would love to be a member of a mature guild that doesn’t just want you for experience or bragging rights of how many guild members they have.
